I’m over at Helen’s place to talk about research in speculative fiction. Come join in the conversation.
Today Craig Boyack, author of C.S Boyack’s Experimental Notebook and his newest release, The Playground, is visiting Journey to Ambeth with a fantastic post about research. As he says, writing speculative fiction means that you can do pretty much whatever you choose within a story – however, for it to be effective, there has to be some basis in reality. That’s where research comes into play.

A good post (oooh, look t the new wallpwaper :))
I left a comment over there, but this reminds me that I need to start researching book 3 of my series. There’s always something on the to-do list, isn’t there? I’ve been enjoying your tour and all the varied posts.

Make sure you tell me when I can post your review. We have to be close now. I think your post will be the final one on this tour. I’ve enjoyed it, and spreading it out was a good idea. It lasted a little bit longer, and wasn’t crazy all at once.

It definitely helps to stagger the stops. I remember I had two tours going at the same time for Myth and Magic (not by choice) and it was insane!
See you on Monday for your post. I still owe you the short link. Should be this weekend. And I’ll give a yell when the review can go live. Thanks for being an ARC reader!

Not snubbing you. I never found a comment at Helen’s. Maybe she has to approve all comments.

I missed three posts? Oh, geesh, I’m so sorry. The last few days it feels like I’m spinning my wheels but not going very far. I know why, but still…I hate not being as productive as usual.

Nobody’s keeping score. I assumed you were up to something amazing. Today was kind of a crash and burnout day around here. I’ll post about it in a few.
