Gentle reminder #freebook

My book tour will continue this week. I don’t have anyone for today. I’m just going to drop some cover art and talk about my current promotion, because it’s for a limited time.

Blurb: The Lanternfish crew completed their original mission, but got exposed to a more global problem. An entire continent is at war, headed up by a head-strong young king with dreams of power, and pushed from behind by a mysterious religious order known as the Fulminites.

Rather than let their country fall under the iron boot of conquest, James and his crew set sail once more to see what kind of muscle Lanternfish can lend to the war effort. Acting precariously under an unofficial charter as a privateer, even his allies aren’t always his friends.

HMS Lanternfish explores new worlds on its way to war, and drifts considerably off course. It features an international crew of characters, and for fans of the first book, the root monsters are back, too. Tall ships, a few con games, martial arts, and everything you loved about the original book is all returning.

Hoist the colors and wheel out the guns. Lanternfish is taking to the high seas once more.

That’s the new book and you can get it for 99¢ for a limited time.

I won’t expect you to jump into the middle of a trilogy if you haven’t already read the first book. Amazon came through on my free days. Therefore, you can also get Voyage of the Lanternfish for free, but only this week.

HMS Lanternfish: 99¢ for a limited time.

Voyage of the Lanternfish: Free until Friday.

I’m going to mention that Serang is also part of this world. It is a stand-alone title and is based upon one of the more intriguing characters in the series. Her book isn’t on sale, but if this week plays out well, I could do something with it later this month to keep the momentum going. Here’s a link for her book.

Big Sale for War of Nytefall

Charles is holding a big sale for the month of October. This is for his fantasy vampire series, so you can see the Halloween theme behind it all. This is a great opportunity to jump onboard.

For the month of October, all three War of Nytefall books will be available for 99 cents each.

I’ll be posting about this once a week and keeping up a pinned Tweet for the entire month, which is really it for promotions.  If anyone wants to host a simple promo post or copy/paste the above then let me know.  I can put some posts together for people, but I really can’t do anything complicated due to time restraints.  We can discuss things in the comments if you want to help.

There’s an ulterior motive here as well, which is why this isn’t working exactly like a big announcement promotion:

If I see enough movement of War of Nytefall with the new price then I will consider dropping all of my books to 99 cents ($2.99 for those Legends of Windemere bundles) for an extended period of time.  So, for all those people who wanted to read my books, but thought $2.99 was too much, this is your chance to sway me into an across the board price drop.  With my job, I can pay my bills, so I’m pushing for exposure on the books instead of royalties.  That means, this is a fairly easy contest for that crowd to win if they convince their friends to join in.

Do I expect there to be a lot of movement?  I have no idea, but October is the best time to promote my vampires.  So, have fun, enjoy the stories, and thank you to anyone who is willing to help spread the word.

Promoting Panama

It’s time to do a promotion for Panama. I’ve played with Amazon’s free option, and now it’s time to try a Kindle Countdown deal.

I want all my blog friends to get first shot at this and I’m posting it here first. Panama will be available for 99 cents on the morning of June 23rd. The time will be different all around the world, and I’m on Mountain Daylight time in the U.S.A.

It goes up approximately one dollar every thirteen hours until it reaches its original price.

Here’s what to expect for your 99 cents:

This is a story about two old army buddies. They live in different parts of the country, and are asked by Theodore Roosevelt to look into some strange happenings at the Panama Canal construction zone.

They run into prejudices. Ethan was a Rough Rider, and Coop was a black Buffalo Soldier. They also run into an army of captured souls controlled by a demon. The demon is controlled by a Spanish zealot who wants to place a Carlist pretender to the thrones of Spain and France in power. He intends to recapture Spain’s new world colonies and make Spain into a dominant world power once more.

On top of all this, Panama wants to gain independence from Colombia. There are more than enough armies to go around. Add in the occasional dangerous creature, a poisonous snake or two, and the boys have their work cut out for them.

This story is filled with magic of an international flavor, and there are enough gunfights to keep the adventure lovers happy.

Panama is intended to be a buddy story. Niether man stands much of a chance alone, but together they might just get out alive.

What do you say? 99 cents, and you might just have a few hours of fun.
