Back to work

Today was the day for medical appointments. All is well, but I have another one set for a few months. Must be part of the aging process. Either that, or they’re really exited that I have insurance.

I spent the weekend reading my own WIPs. I didn’t get all the way through both of them, but anticipate new words some time this coming weekend.

I decided to share something different tonight. I confess that it could be somewhat promotional in nature, but doesn’t have to be.

I use Pinterest a lot. I try to create a board for all my stories, but the older ones aren’t there. When it comes to The Hat Series, it’s all on one big board. You’ll find things that have appeared in the stories. There are some things that inspired something I created for the series, and there are some things I haven’t used yet, but intend to. I have inspirations for Ray’s Harley bagger, his gunstock warclub, several Colt Pythons, and some upright basses.

If you scroll through it, you can use your own imaginations to decide what I might come up with. You can also see the sinkholes, wooden pitchforks, and a broad spectrum of hats. There are even Lisa Burton posters included from various tours she participated in.

I’m going to keep adding to this board and there are some things saved that might not get used for two years or more.

If you’re looking for something different, check it out. https://pin.it/6UZcF9I

Do you use Pinterest as a writing tool? Do you want to after glancing through this?

  2. I genuinely forgot that Pinterest existed. Is it still widely used?

  3. Wow! What an eclectic Pinterest board, Craig. Yes, I do use Pinterest. I mostly use it to save blogs that I want to refer back to again. I also have a board for each of my books where I save reviews and images related to the story. It’s a great tool. Glad the medical visits went well. I think you are right about the insurance.

  4. I have one Pinterest board that has all my book covers and the Instagram clips in it. I have a couple of others that are interesting creatures and landscapes that I can look at to spark ideas. But I also have a couple that are just for my amusement, like one that’s full of Dragon Age and Skyrim jokes.

  6. I have a Pinterest account but I’m rarely there these days. It’s not really for me. I’m curious. Since you have Lisa Burton posters there, aren’t you concerned about someone stealing them for their own? Just referring back to your previous post.

  7. I hadn’t been on Pinterest for quite a while, but this new book was calling for it. I’ve pinned several pics so far and plan on adding more this week.

  8. I have a Pinterest account, but rarely use it. Occasionally, I see a recipe. Your boards are great.

Glad the Dr. appointment went well. I think you are right about the insurance.

  9. I used to use Pinterest daily. I can’t think of the last time I was there. I’m glad it works for you. (Glad all was well at the doctor, too.)

  10. Fun board! I really like Henrietta the warrior chicken:) But no rats? That’s your Chinese sign, isn’t it? Jazzi and Ansel flip houses, so I started to make a board for each one of their books with ideas for the house they’re working on. It helps me picture and describe them better.

  12. You have a cool Pinterest board. I don’t use Pinterest myself because I get distracted by others’ beautiful images and stay on there way, way too long!

Glad the medical appointments went well. Hope the ones in a few months do too.

Pinterest is of no use to me… Too visual.
