Mom and Dad came for a visit this weekend. It didn’t leave much time for authorly things, but it was fun. We went to dinner, and Mom did some Christmas shopping. I tagged along and scored a beer at Old Chicago while they hit the mall.
We stopped by the pet store, and the dogs scored these cool tire toys. They have ropes through them, and they love them.

Frankie loves her new toy
I managed to prepare the shtick for a new Lisa Burton Radio interview and send it out. I also worked my way through some critiques. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s enough for one afternoon.
Hope everyone else had great weekends too.
I was running errands today so only managed about 1K but at least it was something.
I love the new doggie toys!
Because Raven is so destructive with her toys, I bought her a dog toy recently, thinking it would be more durable. It’s a shorter version of the rope through the tires–same colors and everything. So far it’s held up to her predatory nature and claws,LOL!

That’s a great idea. Hope it lasts for her.

Frankie and Otto are both bulldogs.

OK, I thought Frankie might have been a bull dog, but it was hard to tell from the angle of the photo.

True. I just snapped it when she brought her toy to me.

Any day with puppy toys results in happy puppies. And happy puppies make for a wonderful day. That, in my book, is a win (authorly things or not).

Thanks. Those are pretty good toys for such powerful dogs. I don’t think the ropes will last, but the tires seem to hold up.

Looks like the new toy is a big hit! It’s hard to make a lot of writing progress through the holidays. You did great!

Hi Craig! I’m glad I got some Christmas shopping done early this year. Otherwise, it might have been a problem. I’m glad you got to spend some time with your parents. That’s what the holidays are for. Frankie looks so happy with her new toy. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend! ❤ xo
