I got through a couple of my projects, then we paid the bills and managed date night. We had a couple of errands along the way, one of which involved stopping at Pet Smart for dog food. Lo and behold, pumpkin balls are available once more.
Otto is bouncing off the walls with joy. Frankie doesn’t know what to think. She has only had tennis balls, and these don’t have fur.
Ever since he was a puppy, the pumpkin ball was his favorite toy. They have a squeaker inside and they flash when they bounce. Otto is a simple soul. It doesn’t take much to make him happy. Maybe I should take a lesson from him.

I remember you saying how much he loved pumpkin balls. I may have to look for those for my doggos. Glad he’s so happy.

Nothing lasts around these guys, but the joy is worth the cost.

A happy bulldog with his pumpkin ball. You can’t ask for much more than that.

I was thinking something similar when Lilie was going grazy over what’s left of one of her teddies. This thing is basically a scrap of fabric now, and she was playing with it with such delight you’d swear it was the greatest toy in the universe. The smallest thing makes her happy, and she rarely isn’t overjoyed by one thing or another. I wish I knew her secret to being so happy all the time.

They could teach us a thing or two. No doubt.

Come to think of it, it doesn’t take much to make us happy too, trick is to find what it is!

He isn’t too complicated. I could probably take a lesson from him.

That’s adorable. Do you stock up on them or is it kept as a seasonal event for him?

They’re seasonal products at the pet store. We buy a couple in October, and that’s it until next year. He has oversized tennis balls he plays with, but something about these really make him happy.

Maybe it’s the glowing part? Not sure how dog’s vision works since I always heard they can’t see colors.

They squeak. The light flashes like a strobe, so I’m sure he can see that. They also aren’t completely round, so they take crazy bounces sometimes. He likes that part.

Heck, I think I’d have a blast with that toy.

You have to get it from Otto first.

Not sure that’s possible.

One of those where you need to get out of his way when he does too.

Awww! Punkin balls are back! Sadie’s preferred ball is the middle Kong that looks like a tennis ball but squeaks. She doesn’t like the bigger or smaller ones — perhaps I should have named her Goldilocks 🙂

Good name. They all seem to like squeakers.

Can’t say I’ve heard of pumpkin balls, but Otto enjoys them, and that’s all I need to know. Adorable.
