I started my day off like most of them. Feed the dogs, make coffee, surf social media. I had tomorrow’s Lisa Burton Radio to assemble and schedule. I should note this is no small feat. Most of these posts come with a lot of links, and that all takes time.
Right after that, I had my regular – and invasive – checkup with my doctor. Everything is fine, even better than last time. It still wasn’t fun, despite the good news. It also cost me a couple of hours just in driving time.
When I got home, I decided to assemble and schedule my Thanksgiving post. This one wasn’t too tough, but I needed to get it done. I have company all weekend, and more coming next week. This was my version of making hay while the sun was shining.
I felt pretty good about myself at that point, then realized I’m up over at Story Empire next Wednesday. I hacked out a post about a part of world building that sometimes gets overlooked. I hope it comes across well, because I didn’t have weeks to worry about it. Wow, three blog posts in one day.
However, this post has to count too. I know it isn’t long, but I still wanted to check in. I need to get my butt in gear and start writing Estivation, my next short project. I’ve been a little bit loath to do it, because I have too many unfinished projects. Maybe after Sean Harrington finishes my promotional posters for The Hat, I can publish that one and will feel like I have some room.
Before I leave tonight. I snapped this picture before my doctor’s appointment. I like the idea of Frankie saying, “Don’t make me tell my big brother on you.”
Impressive blogging feat. Keep forgetting what’s next Thursday. Think I’m distracted by the potential movie day on Friday. Congrats on the clean bill of health.

Thanks, what movie is coming out?

Justice League. Can’t see it opening weekend, but my parents are willing to babysit next week. Unless the kid wears us down and comes among. He’s really stubborn on this one, but we’re hoping to appease him with Wonder Woman over the weekend.

I’d like to see it too, but we’ve been waiting for video on almost everything.

It’s been tough getting to movies this year. Most of the summer releases passed us by.

Forgot all about Thanksgiving. Thanks for the reminder. The three pots in one day is a big bunch of work. A better man than me Gunga Din.

You’re ahead of me though I usually don’t do a Thanksgiving post.

I have something fun planned, or I might skip it too.

I am glad to hear your doctor’s appointment went well. I hate being sick and I am sure you do to. It eats into our blogging and writing time. A really cute picture, Craig.

We buy ours, but my wife always gets a free one too. We donate it.

Nice! My mother gets a free turkey and ham every year, but she cooks hers 🙂

We don’t have the gigantic family we once did. Usually just us and the kids.

But dry turkey sandwiches, and turkey and noodles after!
We might be five this year. Maybe. I don’t know. I never know, really.

We’ll have seven, plus three grandkids. Hard to predict, just like your family.

I love how Frankie and Otto hang out together.
And three blog posts in one day is fantastic. I’m happy when I manage one!

(four if you count the one you just read.) It kind of killed a day, but bought me some family time next week for the holiday. The pups are so peaceful when they’re like this. They act like wolverines after about 6:00 PM.
