Trying something new

I’m at Old Chicago, drinking beer, and trying to use my phone to post with. Typing on this thing is a treat.

I have company, and the mall is a big attraction. I’m the official protector of bags while they continue shopping.

I was promised an iPad pro for my birthday, including the keyboard and pencil option. I’m sure I can write an incredible novel on this device. Yak guy is my next draft, so he’d better be grateful. Apple needs to hurry up and deliver.

I may miss a blog post or two, but I’m trying to respond to all comments. I rebloged a wonderful review and my blog tour stop for the day. Check those out, because they have better content than this post.

Lots of commenters this week want to read Will O’ the Wisp. I haven’t seen proof of that through Amazon, but I think a few of them will.

Sales are happening, but they are mostly for my 99¢ notebook. I’m getting a lot of Kindle Unlimited action though. I may have to assess prices, but I like the 70% option. The hope always was that Notebook would push folks toward my novels.

I don’t think my phone will let me do categories or tags. I may have to edit later.

Right now it’s the baseball playoffs and craft beer. I am having an adult root beer that is surprising. Tastes like a good root beer, but it’s 5+% alcohol. It’s called Not Your Father’s Root Beer, by Small Town Brewery.

I hope all of you are having a great weekend. I’m monitoring comments, but not taking this weekend too seriously.

If anyone is thinking about a Halloween story, check out Will O’the Wisp, Panama, or even The Experimental Notebook of C. S. Boyack.

  2. Wouldn’t have realized the post was on the phone if you hadn’t mentioned it. Very cool. I’ve had that root beer before. The first time I didn’t really like it because I guess I went in with other expectations. Then I really wanted a drink and the other 5 were the only things in the house. Suddenly it was pretty good. Hope the sales keep going. Enjoy the weekend.

  3. It’s Not Your Father’s Root Beer is all the rage, apparently. It’s all over Instagram. I hope you enjoy. I bought Will O the Wisp, but must admit, I’m behind on reading anything right now. Lots of home improvement this week. I look forward to it though, and expect to enjoy it 🙂 I upload photos via my phone, but I don’t care to type on it, for any reason, lol 😛

  4. Sounds like you’re having a great weekend! That root beer sounds very interesting. Typing on the phone is an option if none other is available. It takes more time and effort typing on it and I must say I think you did very well.

  5. Official protector of the bags is a noble calling. Between typing on the phone and that highly vaunted position, you left many lesser bloggers in the dust 😉

  7. The root beer sounds intriguing–I’ll have to try to find some around my neck of the woods. Let us know how the iPad pro compares to your usual iPad when you get the chance to compare. Been considering an iPad for more mobile writing (as if my laptop isn’t enough 🙂

  8. My husband tried one of those Not Your Father’s Root Beers at a neighbor’s house, and love it. He’s not much of a drinker so that was saying something.
